A parking reservation platform managing 48,000+ parking lots
A reservation product covering tens of thousands of parking lots nationwide, where the design problem was density — finding one usable space quickly, on a phone, in a hurry.

The situation
A parking reservation platform operating at national scale across Japan, with more than 48,000 lots in inventory. At that volume the hard problem is not listing supply, it is helping one driver — usually already in the car, often already late — find, compare and reserve a specific space in seconds. Every extra tap is a driver who gives up and parks somewhere unreserved. Inventory of that size also has to stay accurate, because a reservation against a space that is not really available is worse than no reservation at all.
What we did
Designed search and map interaction around the real decision: what is near where I am going, available when I need it, and what does it cost — surfaced before any detail screen.
Treated dense information as the primary design constraint, building list and map views that stayed readable at high result counts on a small screen.
Structured the reservation flow so a booking could be completed in a few taps, with the steps that require attention — time window, vehicle, payment — separated clearly from the ones that do not.
Designed the operator-side experience for lot owners, since inventory accuracy across tens of thousands of listings depends entirely on how easy it is for the people maintaining them.
Built the interface on a component system so new lot types and regional variations could be added without redesigning core screens.
The result
- A reservation platform managing more than 48,000 parking lots across Japan.
- Search and booking designed for completion in seconds on mobile, which is the only context that matters for this product.
- A component system that let the product scale its inventory and regional coverage without a redesign.
The lesson we carry into current work
Scale changes design problems qualitatively, not just quantitatively. An interface that is pleasant with fifty results is unusable with fifty thousand, and the fix is structural — what you show first, what you defer, and what you never show at all.
We apply the same thinking to dashboards, catalogs and admin tools where a client’s data has outgrown the screens built for it.

~1.3×operational efficiency after launch
Sagawa Express. A national courier's pickup requests arrived by phone and were tracked in spreadsheets. Our team designed the online booking platform and driver application that replaced both.
~1Mrequests per day handled by the Go services
Platform-as-a-service product, Dubai. Core backend, microservices, billing and the internal tooling that let an entire engineering team run the production stack locally — plus Go services elsewhere handling roughly one million requests a day.
5sales channels in one order queue
In-house product. A grocery business selling through five channels at once, where the real cost was not selling — it was the nightly reconciliation between a register, a spreadsheet, a phone and an online store that never quite agreed.
2portals — customer and operations — from one codebase
In-house product. A recurring-delivery business where the operational load is not the deliveries themselves but the arithmetic around them — who gets what today, who paused, who owes, and what changes when one customer skips a week.
6service lines, each with its own page
A facility-management company. Its buyers are procurement teams comparing vendors on paper, so the site has to make the single-vendor argument itself — and then make the inquiry effortless.
3practices under one custom admin
An e-commerce agency. Three distinct practices and a service catalog too large for a static site, where the requirement was that the client could restructure their own offering without a developer.
