Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Sparq Web LLC ("Sparq Web", "we", "us") collects through https://sparqweb.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It applies to this website only. Work carried out under a client contract is governed by that contract and any data processing terms agreed within it.

What we collect

• Information you send us. When you complete the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, your company if you give it, and whatever you choose to write in your message. The form delivers this to our own inquiry system, where we track each inquiry until it is answered and closed.
• Chat on this site. The chat panel answers from the content of this website, in your browser; what you type stays on your device. If you leave your details in the chat, or a phone number or company name in what you write, we keep them with your inquiry. When you ask to hear from us, or ask for a person, the conversation so far is sent to us with your inquiry. If a person is available and joins, the messages you exchange with them are kept as part of that conversation.
• How you reached us. With an inquiry, a chat or a booking, we also record the website that referred you, the page you arrived on and any campaign tags in the link you followed, so we know which of our pages and campaigns bring inquiries. We do not keep advertising click identifiers.
• Technical information. When you send the form or chat with a person, we record your IP address and browser type to limit abuse of the form. We delete both 30 days later.
• Booking information. If you book a call, Calendly collects the details needed to arrange the meeting, such as your name, email address, time zone and selected time, and passes them to us with any answers you give to its questions. We keep them with your inquiry.
• Basic usage data. Google Analytics records how the site is used: pages viewed, referring source and approximate region. We look at it in aggregate and do not use it to identify individual visitors.

We do not ask for, and you should not send us, sensitive personal information, payment card details or credentials through this website or its chat.

Why we use it

• To reply to your inquiry and arrange a conversation.
• To prepare a proposal or scope of work you have asked for.
• To understand which pages are useful so we can improve the site.
• To keep the form and the chat from being abused.
• To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Who can see it

Inquiries, bookings and chats are kept in our own inquiry system, hosted by our hosting provider, and seen by the people on our team who respond to you and by those who run the team. New inquiries are also emailed to the team. We use service providers for email, scheduling, analytics and hosting; each processes data only to provide that service to us.

How long we keep it

We keep an inquiry while we handle it and through any work that follows. Two years after an inquiry is closed, we delete it together with our notes and any chat saved with it. A chat with a person that was not kept as an inquiry is deleted 90 days after it ends. IP addresses and browser types are deleted after 30 days. Backups of the inquiry system are kept for 14 days. Records we are required to keep, such as contracts and invoices, stay for as long as those obligations require. You can ask us to delete your inquiry at any time.

Your choices

• Ask us what personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct information that is wrong.
• Ask us to delete your inquiry, your chats and contact details.
• Ask us to stop contacting you.

Email info@sparqweb.com and we will respond within a reasonable period. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local data protection law, and you may have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS. We limit access to inquiry data to the people who need it, and everyone on our team who can see it signs in with two-factor authentication. We keep our software and dependencies current. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Cookies

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies of its own. The tags listed below, from Google, set their own cookies to measure visits. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser's settings.

The chat panel keeps the conversation in your browser’s session storage so it survives a page change; it is cleared when you close the tab. Calendly may set its own cookies or local storage in accordance with its own policy.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
